Waves and Photons – and Unexpected Behavior

As quantum physics is the theme for this issue of SciTech†, I thought I’d try to explain something about a related subject: the wave-photon duality of light (and all electro-magnetic radiation). We all remember from our physics classes that this duality exists, but there are some (at least to me) fascinating aspects to it that one is generally not aware of.
